Noah Obeyed | Pastor Mark Pearce

Jan 4, 2026

We are beginning a new series by looking at the life of Noah—a man who obeyed God fully, even when the circumstances were unclear and the culture around him was corrupt.

In Genesis 6–7, Scripture paints a picture of a world marked by violence, compromise, and moral decay. Yet in the midst of that darkness, Noah walked with God. He obeyed God’s command to build the ark without ever seeing rain, trusting God’s Word over his own understanding. Hebrews 11 reminds us that Noah acted by faith in “things not yet seen.”

This message explores three key observations from Noah’s life: obedience despite uncertainty, righteousness in a hostile culture, and God as the ultimate Deliverer. When the ark was complete, God Himself shut the door—securing Noah and his family and reminding us that salvation comes by God’s initiative, not human effort.

Through Noah’s story, we are challenged to anchor our perspective in eternity, walk by faith instead of feelings, and rely on God as our provider. Ultimately, the ark points us to Jesus Christ—our only shelter from judgment and our secure hope of salvation.

If you are seeking direction, wrestling with obedience, or learning how to stand firm in today’s culture, this message offers biblical truth and practical encouragement for living a life of faith.
