A good heart is humble, soft, and holy—set apart for God. We begin with a soft heart at salvation, but life’s trials can harden it, hindering spiritual growth. Humility and holiness are key to staying God-centered, as God dwells with those of lowly and contrite hearts (Isaiah 57:15). Being holy doesn’t mean perfection; it means being set apart for God, living differently from the world and remaining open to His Word.
