In the first message of the new R.E.A.L. series, “Relevant Fisherman,” we see how Jesus called His disciples—many of whom were fishermen—to become fishers of men. Using their skills and experience, He taught them how to reach people for the Kingdom. Just like fishing requires bait, casting, and knowing where the fish are, sharing the gospel requires telling our story, putting it out there, and reaching people where they are. Every story of God’s goodness is bait; when we share it, we give others a taste of how real He is. There is an urgency in spreading the gospel—Jesus has called us to fish for people, and we must take every opportunity to share His love.
