United We Shine | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Jesus never intended for you to shine alone.
In the early 1800s, weak lighthouse lamps could barely cut two miles into a stormy sea. Then the Fresnel lens changed everything. Hundreds of small, unimpressive glass prisms, aligned around one central light, turned a flickering flame into a beacon visible twenty miles out. That's not just a story about physics. That's a picture of the Church.
In this final message of our United We series, we're looking at why your unity with other believers isn't just nice to have. It's your greatest evangelistic witness. When the world sees a church that forgives quickly, honors one another, and stands together across every dividing line, they catch a glimpse of heaven on earth.
In this message:
- Why unity, not just theology, is our identifying mark as followers of Jesus
- How selfish ambition dims our light, and how honor restores it
- Why the unity we practice today is a rehearsal for eternity

United We Build | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In Week 3 of our UNITED series, we look at the story of Nehemiah and how the walls of Jerusalem were rebuilt in just 52 days because ordinary people united around a shared vision and worked together. Unity isnât something we simply experience. Unity is something we build.
God has given each of us unique gifts and a specific place in His Church. In this message, we discover why we are called to build together, how our different gifts work together to strengthen the Body of Christ, and why we need one another when the work gets heavy. You werenât saved to sit on the sidelines. You were called to build.

United We Are Blessed | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What if Godâs blessing is connected to the way we live together?
In Week 2 of our UNITED series, we dive into Psalm 133 and discover the power of Godâs commanded blessing. David compares unity among Godâs people to the refreshing dew of Mount Hermon and the anointing oil poured over Aaronâthe picture of Godâs presence, favor, and refreshing flowing where His people live in unity.
Unity isnât just about getting along. It creates an atmosphere where Godâs blessing can flow, keeps us connected to the Body of Christ, and creates a legacy that reaches generations beyond us.
In this message, we discover:
⢠How unity creates an atmosphere for Godâs commanded blessing
⢠Why the anointing flows through our connection to Christ and His Body
⢠The importance of staying connected to the local church and Christian community
⢠How unity can impact our families, children, and future generations
⢠Why forgiveness, peace, and relational unity matter to the spiritual health of the church
⢠How God wants to bring refreshing to spiritually dry places in our lives
You were never meant to walk through life disconnected or alone. When we stay connected to Jesus and to one another, we position ourselves to experience the refreshing, covering, and blessing God has for His people.
Letâs choose unity. Letâs protect our relationships. Letâs stay connected to the Body of Christ. And letâs live under the blessing God commands where His people dwell together in unity.

United We Stand | Pathway Church Pathway Church
What happens when Godâs people choose to stand together?
In the first message of our new UNITED series, we explore the power and purpose of biblical unity through Psalm 133. Just like the towering redwood trees of California survive powerful storms because their roots are intertwined beneath the surface, we were never created to stand alone.
Unity is more than simply getting alongâit unlocks spiritual authority, protects us from division, and strengthens us to fulfill the mission God has given us.
In this message, we discover:
⢠How unity unlocks exponential spiritual authority
⢠Why the enemy uses isolation, offense, and division to weaken believers
⢠How humility, forgiveness, and grace protect the unity of the church
⢠Why we are called to stand together around one Lord, one faith, and one mission
⢠How the church family can help us remain strong through lifeâs storms
You donât have to carry your burdens alone. You were created to be connectedâto pray together, stand together, and walk together as the body of Christ.
One can put a thousand to flight, but two can put ten thousand to flight.
When we stop fighting each other, refuse to let offense divide us, and lock arms around the mission of Jesus, we become stronger together.

Eagles, Buzzards, and Chickens | Apostolic Elder Gordon Barnes Pathway Church
Guest speaker Apostolic Elder Gordon Barnes brings a timeless message that is just as relevant today as when God first placed it on his heart.
Using the powerful illustration of eagles, buzzards, and chickens, Gordon challenges us to consider how we're living. Are we fluttering around with untapped potential like a chicken? Are we circling the failures of others like a buzzard? Or are we soaring like an eagle, rising above life's storms and helping others do the same?
Drawing from Isaiah 40, this message is a reminder that God has given every believer a purpose, strength for every season, and a church family to walk alongside us when life gets hard. Even when you've been wounded, discouraged, or feel like you've lost your ability to soar, God is faithful to restore what has been broken.
No matter where you find yourself today, this message will encourage you to trust God's plan, embrace His strength, and become the kind of believer who lifts others instead of tearing them down.

The Old Man is Dead | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What if one of the biggest misconceptions in Christianity is believing you're still defined by your old sinful nature?
In this message from our Free Indeed series, we explore what Scripture really says about your identity in Christ. Through the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, God didn't simply improve your old life. He made you a completely new creation. The old is gone, and the new has come.

If you've struggled with shame, guilt, or feeling like you'll never change, this message is a reminder that your freedom is found in who Jesus says you are, not in who you used to be.

Free to Choose | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Freedom is one of God's greatest gifts, but living in that freedom requires a daily choice.
In this message from our Free Indeed series, we discover that Jesus didn't just set us free from sin. He restored our ability to choose a life that honors Him. While salvation is a gift, walking in freedom means choosing to trust God, leave the past behind, recognize His voice, and obey Him even when it's difficult.
Through the stories of Israel, Naaman, the widow of Zarephath, and others, we'll see that breakthrough often comes on the other side of obedience. Whether you're battling old habits, fear, shame, or uncertainty, this message is a reminder that God has already made a way for you to live free.
Freedom isn't about going back to what's familiar. It's about choosing God's voice over every other voice and trusting Him one step at a time.
Thank you for joining us at Pathway Church. We pray this message encourages you to choose life, choose truth, and walk in the freedom Jesus has already won for you.

Power Over Prison | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What do you do when life feels like a battle?
Writing from a Roman prison cell, chained to imperial guards, the Apostle Paul didn't focus on his limitations. Instead, he gave the Church a battle plan. In Ephesians 5 and 6, Paul teaches believers how to walk in integrity, live with purpose, build healthy relationships, and stand firm against spiritual opposition.
Before we can put on the armor of God, we must first learn to walk in the character of God. Paul challenges us to imitate Christ, live as children of light, redeem our time, and cultivate Christ-centered relationships. Then he reveals the reality of spiritual warfare and equips believers with the armor of God to stand strong in a world filled with confusion, anxiety, temptation, and spiritual attack.
In this message you'll discover:
⢠How to imitate God's character in everyday life
⢠Why Christians are called to be light in dark places
⢠How to redeem your time and live intentionally
⢠What the Armor of God means for modern believers
⢠Why community is essential in spiritual warfare
⢠How to fight anxiety, shame, and fear with God's Word and prayer
The battle is real, but the victory has already been won through Jesus Christ. Don't fight in your own strength. Put on the armor of God, stand your ground, and walk in the power God has provided.

But God, Therefore | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Why does Paul spend three chapters explaining what God has done before giving a single command? In this message, we explore the powerful turning point in Ephesians 4:1 â âThereforeâŚâ. Because of what Christ has already accomplished, our lives are called to reflect a new reality.

- Discover and activate the spiritual gifts God has entrusted to you.

Power of The Fire | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What if the missing piece in your faith isnât more knowledge, but more power?
In Power of the Fire, we look at Acts 2 and Acts 19 to uncover a reality many believers overlook: you can have the right beliefs and still be living without the fire of the Holy Spirit. The early Church didnât treat the Spirit as optional. He was essential.
From the moment of Pentecost to the disciples in Ephesus, Scripture shows us that the promise of the Holy Spirit was never meant to stop. It was never just a one-time event. The same fire that filled the early Church is still available today.
In this message, we explore:
⢠The difference between water baptism and the baptism of the Holy Spirit
⢠Why the fire of God is for every believer
⢠How the Holy Spirit brings power, boldness, and transformation
⢠The purpose of spiritual gifts in the life of the Church
⢠What it means to live a Spirit-filled life instead of a powerless one
If your walk with God feels routine, dry, or stuck, this message is an invitation to go deeper. Donât stop at the water. Step into the fire.

Promise Fulfilled | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What happens when the promise of Jesus becomes reality? In this message, Promise Fulfilled, we dive into Acts 2 and the outpouring of the Holy Spirit at Pentecost. The same Spirit who empowered the early church is still available today.
Many believers know the form of faith but feel disconnected from the power of it. Pentecost reminds us that Christianity was never meant to be lived on human strength alone. God promised power, presence, and gifts through the Holy Spirit so believers could live boldly, pray effectively, and reflect Jesus in a broken world.
In this sermon we explore:
⢠The Day of Pentecost and why it still matters today
⢠The purpose of spiritual gifts as tools for ministry, not trophies for status
⢠The gift of tongues and its biblical purposes
⢠Why the church still needs the power of the Holy Spirit now
⢠How to move from manual mode faith into Spirit empowered living
The kingdom of God is not built on words alone, but on power. You were never meant to live empty, drained, or disconnected. The promise is still for today.

The Promised Revealed | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Last week we talked about the Promise: Go. Wait. Receive.
This week, we see the Promise revealed.
The Holy Spirit is not a concept, a feeling, or an optional part of faith. He is Godâs active presence living within every believer. From Genesis to Acts, scripture shows us that the Spirit has always been at work, but through Jesus, something changed. God is no longer just with us. He is in us.
In this message, we unpack who the Holy Spirit is, why He came, and what He does in our lives today.
đ In this message, youâll discover:
- Who the Holy Spirit is according to Scripture
- Why Jesus said it was better for Him to leave
- How the Spirit unifies and empowers believers
- The role of the Holy Spirit as our Helper and guide

Jesus Sent Heaven to Earth | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What happened in the 40 days after the resurrection?
We often focus on the Cross and the Empty Tomb, but overlook one of the most powerful moments in historyâwhen Jesus walked the earth after defeating death. He didnât disappear. He stayed. He taught. He prepared.
In this new series, weâre diving deep into the person and power of the Holy Spiritââthe power within you.â

He Came, He Conquered, We Won | Easter Sunday | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What looked like defeat on Good Friday was actually the moment Jesus paid the debt of humanity in full. Betrayed, abandoned, and crucified, He chose obedience over comfort and victory over surrender.
In this message, we walk through three eternal moments that changed everything:
đ Itâs Not About Me
In the Garden of Gethsemane, Jesus chose the Fatherâs will over His own.
âNot my will, but yours be done.â (Luke 22:42)
đ He Nailed It
On the cross, Jesus declared âIt is finished.â (John 19:30)
The debt of sin was paid in full. No more striving. No more earning. Freedom is found in what He already finished.
đ He Rose as Conqueror
The tomb is empty. Death is defeated. Victory is secure.
âHe is not here. He has risen!â (Matthew 28:6)
Because He lives, we have hope. Because He conquered, we have victory.

When the King Comes to Town | Palm Sunday | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
On Palm Sunday, Jesus entered Jerusalem as Kingâbut not the kind of King people expected. While the crowds praised Him, many misunderstood His purpose and the kind of Kingdom He came to establish.
This message explores three powerful realities of what happens when Jesus takes His place in our lives.
First, He brings peace. Not a temporary or circumstantial peace, but a deep, lasting peace that remains even in the middle of lifeâs challenges.
Second, He cleanses what is corrupted. Just as Jesus cleared the temple, He works in us, transforming our hearts so we can become a dwelling place for His presence.
Finally, He calls us to surrender. Jesus modeled complete obedience, and He invites us into a daily life of laying down our will to follow Him.
Palm Sunday is not just about celebration. It is an invitation to recognize the King, respond to His authority, and follow Him fully.

Leading From the Field | Pastor Darin Pearce Pathway Church
What does it really mean to be a great leader?
Before David ever wore a crown, he carried a shepherdâs staff. Before he faced giants, he faithfully tended sheep. In this message, we look at the life of King Davidâa man known not for perfection, but for having a heart fully devoted to God.
While King Saul lost his kingdom through disobedience, David was chosen because of his heart. His story reminds us that God isnât looking for outward strength or perfectionâHeâs looking for surrender, obedience, and worship.
Whether youâre in a waiting season, a serving season, or stepping into something new, this message will encourage you not to overlook where you are right now. God is using your current season to prepare you for whatâs ahead.
đ Key Takeaways:
- Donât despise the âfieldâ seasonsâGod develops you there
- Great leaders are servants first
- Confidence comes from preparation, but victory comes from God
- Worship is your greatest strength
- God values a repentant heart over a perfect one

They Stood | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Before they were heroes, Davidâs mighty men were broken.
When they first came to the Cave of Adullam, the Bible says they were men in distress, in debt, and discouraged. They were societyâs outcasts. But under Davidâs leadership and Godâs anointing, these same men became the greatest warriors in Israelâs history.
Their stories remind us that God doesnât call the mighty and make them HisâHe calls the broken and makes them mighty.
In a culture that often retreats when pressure rises, the mighty men of David show us what it looks like to stand firm in faith.
One warrior defeated hundreds.
Another fought until his hand locked around the sword.
Another stood alone in a simple bean field while everyone else ran.
Their victories werenât just about courageâthey were about faithfulness.
In this message, youâll discover how to:
- Stand when others walk away
- Defend the âsmall territoriesâ God has given you
- Hold tightly to Godâs Word in the middle of pressure
- Trust that victory ultimately belongs to the Lord
You may feel like youâre starting in your own cave of discouragement or struggle, but God specializes in turning caves into training grounds and ordinary people into mighty warriors.
When the pressure rises, donât retreat.
Stand your ground.
Because when one person stands in faith, God can bring a great victory.

Gideon Changed | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
When we first meet Gideon in Judges 6, he isnât leading an armyâheâs hiding in a winepress. Israel is under severe oppression from the Midianites, and Gideon feels like the least qualified person God could possibly choose.
But God speaks a different identity over his life: âThe Lord is with you, mighty warrior.â
Through Gideonâs journey, we see how God transforms fear into faith, weakness into strength, and small obedience into supernatural victory. God reduced Gideonâs army from 32,000 to only 300 soldiers so that no one could claim the victory belonged to human strength.
The battle wasnât won with swordsâit was won with empty jars, torches, and trumpets, showing that Godâs power shines brightest through human weakness.
In this message, youâll discover:
- How God defines you differently than your circumstances do
- Why God often works through weakness, not strength
- How obedience in small steps prepares you for bigger victories
- Why brokenness allows Godâs light to shine through your life
- How praise becomes a weapon against the enemy
If you feel like youâre hiding in your own âwinepressâ of fear, insecurity, or limitation, this message will remind you that God still calls ordinary people to extraordinary purpose.

Jabez Asked: When God Rewrites Your Story | 1 Chronicles 4:9â10 | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In the middle of pages of genealogy, the Bible suddenly pauses to highlight one man: Jabez.
Born with a name that meant âpain-maker,â Jabez carried a label from birth that predicted a future of struggle and limitation. But instead of accepting the identity handed to him, Jabez asked God to rewrite his story.
In just two verses, Jabez prayed a bold, audacious prayer asking God to bless him, enlarge his territory, keep him from evil, and be with him. And the Scripture ends with one of the most encouraging lines in the Bible:
âGod granted him what he asked.â
This message teaches us how to:
Reject the negative labels of your past
Pray with bold, God-sized faith
Seek Godâs presence more than His provision
Walk in protection, purpose, and identity
Believe God can rewrite your future
If you feel limited by your past, your family history, your reputation, or the labels people have put on youâthis message is for you. The God of Jabez still enlarges territory and still breaks generational patterns.

Elijah Did | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Elijah appears in Scripture without a backstory and exits in a whirlwind of fire â but what happens between those two moments reveals how God moves through obedient, worshipful, Spirit-led people.
In this message, we follow Elijahâs journey from confronting Ahab, to being fed by ravens, to seeing fire fall on Mount Carmel, to hearing Godâs whisper in a cave. His life teaches us that divine favor flows wherever obedience, worship, spiritual authority, and declaration collide.
Elijahâs story shows us:
⢠Obedience opens doors
⢠Worship invites Godâs presence
⢠Spiritual authority destroys darkness
⢠Declaring Godâs Word shifts atmospheres
⢠And doing these things ends spiritual droughts
If youâve felt dry, overwhelmed, or stuck between battlesâthis message will build your faith. The same God who sent fire and rain is still working today.

Mordecai Watched: When God Exonerates You | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What do you do when youâve done the right thing⌠and nothing happens?
The story of Mordecai and Haman in the Book of Esther is the ultimate âtables turnedâ moment in Scripture. Itâs a powerful reminder that when the enemy thinks he has won, God is already rewriting the outcome.
In Esther 2â9, Mordecai faithfully serves at the kingâs gate, uncovers an assassination plot, and refuses to bow to Hamanânot out of pride, but out of integrity. While Haman builds gallows for Mordecaiâs execution, God is quietly orchestrating a divine reversal. One sleepless night changes everything.
This message reveals how integrity, intercession, humility, and trust in Godâs timing position us for vindication. Though Godâs name is never mentioned in Esther, His fingerprints are everywhere.
In this message, youâll discover:
- Why integrity outlasts manipulation
- How prayer activates heavenâs intervention
- Why Godâs delays are not His denials
- How pride destroys but humility promotes
- What it means to trust that God has the final say
Your day of intended destruction can become your day of victory. The same gallows built for you may become the platform for your promotion.
If you feel overlooked, attacked, or stuck âat the gate,â this message is for you. God is the God of the Turnaround.

Samson Prayed: The Strongest Weak Man | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Samson had supernatural strengthâstrong enough to tear apart lions, snap chains, and defeat armies. Yet the strongest man in the Bible couldnât always conquer his own desires.
In this message from Judges 13â16, we look beyond Samsonâs physical power and uncover a deeper story about calling, compromise, and the mercy of God. Samson was chosen before birth, anointed by God, and gifted with incredible strengthâyet distracted by temptation and weakened by poor character choices.
This sermon reminds us that gifting is never a substitute for character, compromise never stays small, and failure is never final when we return to God.
Through Samsonâs rise, fall, and final prayer, we see a God who remains faithful even when His people are not. When Samson finally humbled himself and cried out to the Lord, God heard himâand brought victory through brokenness.
In this message, youâll learn:
Why spiritual gifting without character leads to collapse
How small compromises can turn into spiritual chains
Why Godâs grace is greater than our worst failures
How prayer can ignite a comeback, even at rock bottom
If youâve ever felt called by God but conflicted on the inside, this message is for you. There is always a comeback from a setback when you call on the Lord.

Deborah Said Yes | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In the Book of Judges, Israel finds itself trapped in a familiar cycleâturning from God, falling into oppression, crying out for mercy, and being rescued by a deliverer. But in Judges 4 and 5, God raises up a deliverer unlike any other: Deborah.
Deborah was a prophetess, a judge, and a âMother in Israel.â At a time when fear ruled the nation and highways were abandoned, she listened to God, spoke with clarity, and led with courage. While Israel trembled before 900 iron chariotsâthe most advanced military technology of the dayâGodâs answer was not a bigger army, but a woman who said yes to His call.
This message walks through Deborahâs story and reveals how her life serves as a guide for believers today. From wisdom under the palm tree, to obedience on the battlefield, to courage in the face of overwhelming odds, Deborah shows us how God works through those who are willing to listen, obey, and stand firm.
In this message, youâll discover:
- Why Godâs solution to crisis is often obedience, not power
- How faith moves from the presence of God into action
- What it means to say âyesâ before circumstances change
- How God can turn the enemyâs greatest strength into their downfall
- Why courage is fueled by Godâs Spirit, not human confidence
Deborahâs story reminds us that God is not looking for the loudest voice or the strongest rĂŠsumĂŠâHeâs looking for hearts willing to sit at His feet and then stand for His truth.

Jonah Ran | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What happens when Godâs mercy collides with our prejudice?
In this message, we walk through all four chapters of the Book of Jonah and uncover a story far deeper than a man and a fish. Jonah is not a childrenâs taleâitâs a gritty, uncomfortable account of a prophet whose heart was out of sync with Godâs compassion.
At its core, Jonah reveals the tension between human judgment and Godâs relentless grace. Jonah didnât run because he doubted Godâhe ran because he knew God would forgive the people he believed deserved judgment.
Through storms, a great fish, and a second chance, God exposes Jonahâs heart while showing us the radical nature of the Gospel.
This sermon challenges us to ask a difficult question: Who is your Nineveh? The person, group, or situation you believe is beyond redemption may be the very place God wants to display His mercy.
From Jonahâs rebellion to Ninevehâs repentance, and ultimately to Jesusâthe greater Jonahâwe see that Godâs grace is not earned, negotiated, or deserved. It is freely given, even to those we least expect.
In this message, youâll discover:
- Why Godâs grace often offends our sense of fairness
- How God uses storms and detours as acts of mercy
- What it means to serve a God of second chances
- The difference between natural human logic and Gospel logic
- Why the Gospel moves us from justice for others to mercy at the cross
If youâve ever struggled to love difficult people, wrestled with obedience, or felt disqualified by failure, this message is for you. Godâs mercy reaches deeper than our rebellionâand His grace is more relentless than our resistance.

Equipped for the Call | The Artisans of the Presence Pathway Church
What if your everyday skills are actually God-given tools for His glory?
In this message, we look at the powerful and often-overlooked story of Bezalel and Oholiab, the first individuals in Scripture described as being âfilled with the Spirit of God.â Instead of leading sermons, the Spirit empowered them with craftsmanship, creativity, wisdom, and the ability to teachârevealing that God values skilled work just as much as public ministry.
Teaching from Exodus 25â40, along with Matthew 25, Colossians 3, 1 Corinthians 12, and Ephesians 4, this sermon challenges the false divide between sacred and secular work. Your talentsâwhether in design, leadership, administration, parenting, or problem-solvingâare entrusted to you by God and meant to build His dwelling place in the world today.
This message calls believers to move from spectators to contributors and to see revival as people rising up to do the work of the ministry.
In this message, youâll learn how to:
See your skills as Spirit-empowered, not accidental
Shift from ownership to stewardship of your talents
Stop compartmentalizing faith and work
Embrace your unique role in the Body of Christ
Use your abilities to glorify God and serve others

Joseph Chose | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Have you ever felt stuck in a season of waiting, betrayal, or disappointment? The story of Joseph from Genesis 37â45 shows us that God is at work even in our lowest moments.
From a colorful coat in Canaan, to a pit of betrayal, to slavery in Egypt, and years of imprisonment, Josephâs life reads like a blockbuster movie. Yet through every descent, one truth remains constant: âThe Lord was with Joseph.â
In this message, youâll discover three key lessons from Josephâs life:
Character is forged in integrity: choosing what is right even when no one is watching.
The pit prepares you: hardships and delays are Godâs training grounds
God turns evil into good: every betrayal, setback, or struggle is part of His sovereign plan.
Whether youâre in a âpit,â a season of waiting, or on the brink of breakthrough, this message will encourage you to trust Godâs process, remain faithful, and see His purpose unfold.

Noah Obeyed | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What does obedience look like when God doesnât give the full plan?
In this message, we begin a new series by looking at the life of Noahâa man who obeyed God when obedience didnât make sense. In a world marked by corruption and compromise, Noah chose faith over logic and action over understanding.
Teaching from Genesis 6â7 and Hebrews 11, this sermon reminds us that biblical faith often involves trusting God with âthings not yet seen.â Noah built the ark before rain ever fell, lived righteously in a hostile culture, and trusted God as his ultimate Deliverer. When the door of the ark was closed, it wasnât Noah who shut itâGod Himself did.
This message challenges believers today to obey Godâs Word without negotiation, stand distinct in a culture that has forgotten God, and rest in the security of salvation found only in Jesus Christâthe true Ark.
In this message, youâll learn how to:
Obey God even when the outcome is unclear
Live righteously in a corrupt culture
Trust Godâs faithfulness to protect and save

Resilient | Darin Pearce Pathway Church
What does it really mean to be resilient in your faith?
In this sermon, we look at the powerful story of Joseph from the book of Genesisâa man who endured betrayal, injustice, suffering, and imprisonment, yet never lost sight of Godâs purpose. From the pit to the prison to the palace, Josephâs life reminds us that God is at work even when circumstances seem unfair or painful.
Resilience isnât about avoiding hardshipâitâs about remaining faithful through it. Drawing from Scripture in Genesis, Romans, James, Corinthians, Hebrews, and more, this message challenges us to trust Godâs plan, listen for His voice, and keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, no matter what season weâre in.
In this message, youâll be encouraged to:
* Be strong in the face of adversity
* Listen for Godâs guidance instead of the worldâs noise
* Keep your focus on Jesus, even when life is hard

The Joy of the Lord | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In this message from our Advent series The King Is Coming, we focus on the joy of the Lordâa joy that goes far deeper than temporary happiness and remains steady no matter our circumstances. From the angelsâ announcement to the shepherds to the songs of joy that echo through Scripture, we are reminded that Jesusâ arrival brought good news of great joy for all people.
This sermon explores the powerful distinction between happiness and joy. While happiness is often tied to external circumstances, true joy is rooted in our relationship with Christ, empowered by the Holy Spirit, and strengthened through faith, community, and Godâs promises .
Through passages like Luke 2:10, John 15:11, Romans 14:17, and Nehemiah 8:10, we see that:
* The joy of the Lord is for you
* The joy of the Lord is for the world
* The joy of the Lord is our strength
Even in hardshipâlike Paul and Silas worshiping in prisonâjoy proves to be a sustaining, life-changing force that points others to Jesus .
As we prepare our hearts this Christmas season, may this message encourage you to **choose joy**, guard it fiercely, and share the good news of Jesus with a world that desperately needs hope.

What Mary Knew | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
As we continue our Advent journey, we look at Maryâs Song in Luke 1 and discover what Mary already knew about the coming King. Long before Jesus was born, Mary understood that His Kingdom would turn the world upside downâbringing justice, mercy, and hope to all who humble themselves before God.
In todayâs message we explore:
1ď¸âŁ The King Who Brings Justice
Mary declares that God lifts the humble, brings down the proud, and sets right what is broken. Jesus came not for vengeance, but for restoration.
2ď¸âŁ The King Who Brings Mercy
Godâs mercy is not temporaryâitâs everlasting. Through Jesus, we see compassion, forgiveness, and a new way forward.
3ď¸âŁ The King Who Brings Hope
God remembers His promises. Through Jesus, He offers hope that is secure, eternal, and powerful enough to sustain us through any season.
If youâve ever wondered what Mary actually understood about the child she carried, this message will encourage your faith and deepen your understanding of Godâs heart revealed through Christ.

Promised | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
⨠The King Is Coming â Promised | Advent Sermon
In this message, Promised, we begin our Advent series by looking back to the remarkable promises God made hundreds of years before Jesus was born. Long before the manger, before the angels and shepherds, God declared that a Savior-King was coming â One who would rule, rescue, and restore.
From the prophecies of Micah and Isaiah, we discover four powerful titles describing the Messiah:
Wonderful Counselor. Mighty God. Eternal Father. Prince of Peace.
Each title reveals a different facet of who Jesus is â and how deeply His character impacts your life today.
đ In this sermon youâll learn:
⢠How Jesus fulfills every ancient promise about the coming King
⢠What it means to trust Him as your Wonderful Counselor
⢠How His divine power strengthens you as your Mighty God
⢠The unchanging love He offers as your Eternal Father
⢠The true, lasting peace He brings as the Prince of Peace
As we prepare our hearts during this Advent season, may these truths draw us closer to the Savior who was promised long before His birth â and who is coming again.

Heaven Is My Home | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
This world is not our homeâand this message is a reminder to live with heaven in view. Throughout this series, weâve learned to see life through faith, choose the right path, follow our Shepherd, and live set apart for Godâs Kingdom.
In this final message, we look at what it means to live as citizens of heaven. Scripture tells us that Jesus is preparing a place for usâa home where there is no pain, sorrow, or death. Everything we experience on earth is temporary, but what God has promised is eternal.
Weâre called to keep our focus on things above, to store up treasures in heaven, and to live each day with eternity in mind. The Bible promises that Jesus will return, and that hope should shape how we live, love, and serve right now.
We also catch a glimpse of the New Jerusalemâa place of beauty, peace, and Godâs presence forever.
Let this message encourage you: you are just passing through. Keep your eyes on Jesus, set your heart on eternity, and remember that heaven is your true home.

Set Apart | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In todayâs message, Pastor Mark Pearce continues our Pilgrims series with a powerful sermon titled âSet Apart.â As followers of Jesus, we are called to live differentlyânot isolated from the world, but distinct within it. This message challenges us to reflect Christ in everything we do, hold fast to biblical truth, and live as ambassadors of Heaven in a culture that often pushes us to conform.
Pastor Mark walks through three key truths about living a life radically set apart:
⨠We Are Called to Look Different Than a Lost World
Our lives should reflect Godâs holiness, not the values of the culture around us. We are light in the darkness, chosen and set apart for His purpose.
⨠We Are Not Called to Endorse Every Social Narrative
Following Christ means standing firm in truthâeven when itâs unpopular. Our allegiance isnât to trends, approval, or cultural opinions, but to the Gospel.
⨠We Are Ambassadors of the Kingdom of Heaven
This world is not our home. As citizens of Heaven, our words, actions, and priorities should point people to Jesus.
With Scripture from 1 Peter, Romans, Ephesians, John, and more, this message will encourage you to examine your walk with Christ and recommit to living boldly and faithfully in a world desperately in need of light.

What Now? | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In moments of tragedy and uncertainty, believers are left asking the question: What now? Throughout history, God has used the sacrifice of martyrs to awaken hearts, advance His kingdom, and draw people closer to Him. From Stephen and Paul in the New Testament, to heroes of the faith like Dietrich Bonhoeffer, Jim Elliot, and modern-day martyrs, their stories remind us that faith in Jesus is worth everything.
In this message, we look at the example of the early disciples after Jesusâ death and resurrection, and discover three clear steps that still guide us today:
1. Wait on Him â Learn to trust Godâs timing through prayer, worship, and fellowship.
2. Receive His Power â Be filled with the Holy Spirit for strength, courage, and boldness.
3. Go and Share â Live on mission, telling the world the Good News of Jesus.
No matter where you are in your faith journeyâwhether youâre grieving, seeking, or just beginning to follow Jesusâthis message is a reminder that God has a plan, His Spirit is with us, and He is calling His church to rise.

Suffering | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Life is not free from sufferingâbut even in hardship, God calls us to live for His glory. In this message from our series In All You Do, we look at what Scripture teaches about suffering, and how our response can become an act of worship when we surrender it to the Lord.
Through the story of Job, the faith of Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, Danielâs trust in the lionsâ den, and Paul and Silas worshiping in prison, we see three key attitudes that honor God in the midst of trials:
1ď¸âŁ Stay faithful to God no matter the outcome

I Belong | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Do you ever feel like you donât belong? From the moment God created Adam and Eve, we were designed for connectionâwith Him and with each other. Look Whoâs Talking | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Whoâs speaking into your lifeâand can you tell the difference?
In this sermon, "Look Whoâs Talking," Pastor Mark Pearce unpacks the importance of recognizing the voice of God in a world full of noise and distraction. Using Scripture and real-life biblical examples like Moses, Paul, and the Samaritan woman, Pastor Mark shows how Godâs voice leads to transformation, purpose, and deeper relationship.
If you've ever struggled to know whether itâs God speakingâor just your own thoughts or the enemyâthis message will help you gain clarity and confidence in hearing from the One who speaks truth and life.

Why Can't I Hear God | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
Why does God feel silent? In this powerful message, Pastor Mark unpacks the real reason many believers struggle to hear God: an unrepentant heart. While busyness and stress can drown out His voice, itâs often sin and stubbornness that create the greatest distance. Drawing from the story of Herod and John the Baptist, we see how rejecting the voice of repentance can lead to spiritual deafnessâand even separation from Godâs presence. Discover how true, biblical repentanceâturning back to God with a transformed heartârestores clarity, intimacy, and direction. Donât miss this honest and convicting word that reminds us: repentance isnât punishment; itâs a gift that opens our ears and hearts to God.

Heâs Our Friend | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In this powerful Fatherâs Day message titled âHeâs Our Friendâ, Pastor dives into one of the most incredible truths of Scripture: God doesnât just want to lead usâHe wants to befriend us. As part of our current series, Frequency: Tune In, Hear God, we explore how God speaksânot to robots, but to people He loves, personally and intimately.
Looking at John 15 and Genesis 18, this message reminds us that God is not distant or mechanical in His communication. Instead, He desires real relationship, conversation, and connectionâespecially in our moments of pain. From Abrahamâs bold dialogue with God to Jesusâ heartfelt invitation, âI call you friends,â we discover that hearing God's voice starts not with a formula, but with friendship.
Whether youâve been following Jesus for years or youâre just starting to tune into His voice, this message will encourage you to draw near, slow down, and recognize that the God of the universe wants to talk with you. Not just to direct youâbut because He loves you.

I'm a Sheep | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What makes a believer different from someone who doesnât know Jesus? According to John 10, the answer is simple yet powerful: a believer knows the Shepherdâs voice. In this first message of the series, "Iâm a Sheep," we explore what it means to have a personal relationship with Jesus and how hearing Godâs voice isnât just something we doâitâs who we are.
Through humor, Scripture, and truth, this message unpacks three life-changing realities about hearing God:
1ď¸âŁ Itâs innate â You were born with the ability to hear Him.
2ď¸âŁ Itâs learned â Like children learning to speak, we grow in how we recognize His voice.
3ď¸âŁ Itâs matured â Hearing God becomes more refined as we walk with Him.
Whether youâre just beginning your journey of faith or youâve followed Jesus for years, this message is a reminder: You were created to hear Him. And He is speaking.
đŹ âMy sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.â â John 10:27

That Amazing Day | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In the final message of our series The End, Pastor Mark unpacks "That Amazing Day"âthe second coming of Christ. While itâs a powerful and hopeful promise, there are modern teachings on the topic that can lead us astray. Some become obsessed and stop witnessing, giving, and serving. Others become passive, waiting around for rescue. But Jesus gave us a clear command: âDo business âtil I come.â
Drawing from Luke 19 and Matthew 24, we explore the believerâs role and responsibility in the time between now and Christâs return. This isnât a time for fear, laziness, or speculationâitâs a time to serve, give, witness, and stay focused. Letâs not get sidetracked. The end will come when the gospel is preached to all nations. Until then, weâve got work to do.
Letâs live with purpose and shine while we wait for That Amazing Day.

Judgement Day | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In "Judgment Day," part of The End... What Happens Next? series, we explore what Scripture says about the final judgment. Will everyone be judged? Yes. Will believers and unbelievers be judged? Yes. But by grace or works? The answer is both. Our belief determines where we spend eternity; our behavior determines how we spend it. There are two judgments: the Judgment Seat of Christ for believers and the Great White Throne Judgment for unbelievers. How we live matters, and God will reward or judge accordingly. Watch now to understand why faith and works both play a role in eternity!

Yesâjust as Jesus had a resurrected body, so will we. Will we go to heaven immediately? Jesus told the thief on the cross, âToday, you will be with Me in paradise.â We will have emotions, communicate, and know whatâs happening on earth. Life Giving Farmers | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In the final message of the "R.E.A.L." series, we are reminded that our faith is meant to be lived out, not just remembered as a good sermon. Just as farmers plant seeds expecting a harvest, believers are called to plant seeds of the gospel, trusting that God will bring the increase. Psalm 56:8 assures us that God sees our struggles and holds our tears, while Isaiah 41:10 reminds us of His strength and presence. Romans 8:37-39 declares that nothing can separate us from His love. When we share our faith, we may be planting, watering, or witnessing the harvest, but it all starts with sowing. We reap what we sow, and we must sow before we reap. The gospel is the greatest story ever told, and we are entrusted to share it. Join us in this mission and be encouraged to sow generously, knowing God will bring the harvest.

Authentic Witnesses | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
What does it mean to be an Authentic Witness? In the third message of our R.E.A.L. series, we explore Acts 1:4-8, where Jesus calls us to be His witnessesâsharing what weâve seen and heard. Being a witness isnât about debating or having all the answers; itâs about telling your story. Just like the apostles, Paul, and the shepherds who saw Jesus, weâre called to share how God has transformed our lives. Your testimony is powerful, and God can use it to change lives. Engaging Influencers | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In the sermon Engaging Influencers, the focus is on being effective witnesses for Christ. Jesus calls believers to be salt and light (Matthew 5:13-14), symbolizing their role in influencing the world. Salt preserves enhances, and represents covenant, reminding believers to uphold Christian values and prevent moral decay. Light represents visibility and guidanceâbelievers must shine for others to see God through them. Jesus was the light while on earth, but now His followers carry that role. Christians must engage the world, remove any "baskets" of fear or shame, and boldly share their faith. Influence where God has placed you!

Relevant Fisherman | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
đ¨NEW SERIES ALERTđ¨
In the first message of the new R.E.A.L. series, âRelevant Fisherman,â we see how Jesus called His disciplesâmany of whom were fishermenâto become fishers of men. Using their skills and experience, He taught them how to reach people for the Kingdom. Just like fishing requires bait, casting, and knowing where the fish are, sharing the gospel requires telling our story, putting it out there, and reaching people where they are. Every story of Godâs goodness is bait; when we share it, we give others a taste of how real He is. There is an urgency in spreading the gospelâJesus has called us to fish for people, and we must take every opportunity to share His love.

Lordship | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
In the final message of the *You Are Here* series, Pastor Mark emphasized the importance of Lordship and keeping our hearts as good ground for Godâs Word. A good heart is humble, soft, and holyâset apart for God. We begin with a soft heart at salvation, but lifeâs trials can harden it, hindering spiritual growth. Humility and holiness are key to staying God-centered, as God dwells with those of lowly and contrite hearts (Isaiah 57:15). Being holy doesnât mean perfection; it means being set apart for God, living differently from the world and remaining open to His Word.

His Instrument | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
This weekâs "His Instruments" message explores the link between music, worship, and our purpose. In Isaiah 14 and Ezekiel 28, we see how Lucifer, once created with instruments within him, fell by seeking worship for himself, leading to his expulsion from heaven. God then created us with instrumentsâour voices, breath, and handsâmeant for His glory. Worship is more than music; itâs an intentional expression of love and reverence. As we use our lives as instruments of worship, we reflect Godâs glory, bringing His presence into every moment.

His Presence | Pastor Mark Pearce Pathway Church
đ¨NEW SERIES ALERTđ¨
The new series "Living in His Presence" explores God's omnipresence, inner presence, and manifest presence. While God is everywhere, His manifest presence is when He makes Himself known among us. In Genesis, Adam and Eve hid from God's presence after sinning, showing that sin can pull us away from experiencing His closeness. We can draw near and live in Godâs presence daily through worship and obedience, not just on Sundays. Worship invites us to feel His nearness and respond to His leading. As we cultivate intentional worship, we discover that each dayâgood or badâis richer when we walk with Jesus.
