When we first meet Gideon in Judges 6, he isn’t leading an army—he’s hiding in a winepress. Israel is under severe oppression from the Midianites, and Gideon feels like the least qualified person God could possibly choose. But God speaks a different identity over his life: “The Lord is with you, mighty warrior.” Through Gideon’s journey, we see how God transforms fear into faith, weakness into strength, and small obedience into supernatural victory. God reduced Gideon’s army from 32,000 to only 300 soldiers so that no one could claim the victory belonged to human strength.
